Habrisalam Architect on a Kapar data center site is seeking a qualified electrical site engineer to serve as the consultant engineer’s representative on site for all electrical matters. You will supervise MV/LV installations, generator sets, UPS, earthing, CCTV, access control, and BMS, coordinating with mechanical, civil, and architectural disciplines to prevent clashes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Consultant Engineer’s representative on site for all electrical-related matters.
• Ensure electrical works comply with approved design drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Provide full‑time site supervision and monitoring of all electrical installation works.
• Monitor MV/LV installations to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Supervise testing of generator sets and UPS systems.
• Inspect earthing and lightning protection systems for proper installation.
• Oversee structured cabling, data, and communication systems installations.
• Supervise LEV systems such as CCTV, access control, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Review method statements, shop drawings, and material submissions for electrical components.
• Witness FAT/SAT for major equipment and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings to prevent delays.
• Maintain records and submit progress reports to consultant and client.
• Assist in reviewing operation and maintenance manuals, as‑built drawings, and commissioning logs.
• Verify completion and compliance of electrical installations prior to CCC and handover.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Act as the Consultant Engineer’s representative on site for all electrical-related matters. Ensure that all electrical works comply with the approved design drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and relevant statutory regulations. Serve as the primary liaison between the contractor, consultant, and client on all electrical aspects of the project. Provide full-time site supervision and monitoring of all electrical installation works. Monitor and inspect Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical installations to ensure compliance with approved requirements. Supervise the installation and testing of generator sets and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. Inspect earthing and lightning protection systems to ensure proper installation and compliance with relevant standards. Oversee structured cabling, data, and communication system installations. Supervise the installation of Low Extra Voltage (LEV) systems, including CCTV, access control systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS). Review contractors’ method statements, shop drawings, and material submissions for all electrical components and systems. Witness and verify Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for major electrical equipment. Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, civil/structural, and architectural disciplines to prevent clashes, delays, and construction conflicts. Attend site meetings, technical coordination meetings, inspections, and site walkdowns. Monitor and supervise the testing and commissioning activities for all electrical systems. Ensure that all electrical workmanship, materials, and installations comply with contractual quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements, including those of JKR, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and CIDB. Identify, document, and monitor non‑conformities or defects and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions. Ensure that contractors comply with all safety regulations, procedures, and best practices related to electrical works. Maintain detailed daily site records and logbooks documenting electrical activities, inspections, and site observations. Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to the consultant and client. Maintain proper records of inspections, test results, non‑conformance reports, and site instructions. Support integrated systems testing and the final commissioning process for all electrical systems. Assist in reviewing project documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, as‑built drawings, test reports, and commissioning records. Verify the completeness and compliance of electrical installations prior to the issuance of the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) and project handover.
