Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Electrical) to lead the electrical scope of major construction projects. You will oversee electrical engineering teams, manage budgets and risks, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure project delivery from design through commissioning.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in electrical project management within construction or data centre environments, with strong leadership and communications skills. PE registration is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience managing electrical scopes on construction/industrial/data centre projects.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, and critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all electrical aspects of the project lifecycle.
• Mentor Electrical Engineers and project team members.
• Oversee the electrical budget, cost control, forecasting, and change management activities.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in the electrical scope.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor progress to ensure delivery aligns with schedule, quality, safety, and client requirements.
• Review electrical designs, technical documentation, and installation methodologies.
• Support testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and provide regular project updates.

• Proven experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, and critical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management, cost control, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in Data Centre, Mission Critical, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, or Industrial projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is an advantage.
