Job summary

Asia Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) seeks a senior Electrical Project Lead to oversee all electrical works for a mission-critical data centre. You will coordinate design reviews, manage HV/LV distribution, UPS and gensets, and ensure readiness through testing and handover.

You will liaise with mechanical, controls, civil and IT teams, monitor performance and drive mitigation of technical and schedule risks, contributing to IST and project close-out.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in electrical works for large-scale projects, with at least 1 year on data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, UPS, generators and redundancy topologies (N+1, 2N).
• Registration with BEM / Professional Engineer (Ir.) or Suruhanjaya Tenaga competency is an advantage.
• Experience in an Owner's Representative or PMC role is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all electrical works including HV/LV power distribution, UPS, standby generators, switchgear, busways and earthing systems.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical submittals, procurement and long-lead equipment tracking.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning (Levels 1–5) with contractors and commissioning agents.
• Monitor contractor performance, quality, progress and compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Manage electrical interfaces with mechanical, controls, civil and IT teams.
• Identify technical and schedule risks and drive mitigation actions.
• Support integrated systems testing (IST), client handover and close-out documentation.

About the role

To support the delivery of all electrical systems for a mission-critical data centre, from design review through testing, commissioning and handover. You will be the client's point of accountability for electrical scope, contractor performance and power system readiness.
