Job summary

Virbiz Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical engineering and BMS projects from planning through to completion. You will plan, coordinate site activities, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and a minimum of 10 years of project management experience in electrical engineering, BMS, ELV or building services projects. Travel to outstation sites may be required.

• Strong experience in project planning, site coordination and project execution.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage our electrical engineering and BMS projects from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage and coordinate projects from commencement to completion.

Monitor project progress, timeline, budget and quality.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.

Lead project meetings and coordinate site activities.

Monitor project deliverables and ensure works are completed according to project requirements and schedule.

Prepare, submit and follow up on progress claims, variation orders and related supporting documents.

Monitor project costs, material requirements and subcontractor works.

Review project drawings, specifications and other technical documents.

Manage and coordinate site manpower, including foreign workers, technicians and engineers.

Assign work, monitor manpower performance and ensure sufficient manpower is available to meet project requirements.

Identify and resolve project issues in a timely manner.

Lead and coordinate project team members.

Coordinate with the Accounts team on project billing, collections and project-related financial matters.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation.

Provide regular project status updates to management.

Ensure compliance with relevant project requirements and safety standards.

Perform other project-related and ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering or related field.

Minimum 10 years of relevant project management experience.

Experience in electrical engineering, BMS, ELV or building services projects will be an advantage.

Strong experience in project planning, site coordination and project execution.

Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Able to lead a project team and work independently.

Willing and available to travel outstation project when required.
