The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems for cranes and related lifting equipment. The role supports safe, reliable and uninterrupted crane operations through preventive maintenance, breakdown response and equipment testing.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on crane electrical and control systems.
Troubleshoot motors, control panels, wiring, brakes, sensors, limit switches and related components.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out corrective repairs promptly.
Conduct authorised equipment testing after maintenance work.
Support crane operations and report recurring faults or safety concerns.
Maintain accurate maintenance, breakdown and spare-parts records.
Follow all workplace safety procedures, including required permits, lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
Perform other maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.
Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
Experience in industrial electrical maintenance is preferred.
Experience with cranes, hoists or lifting equipment is an added advantage.
Able to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical control systems.
Safety-conscious and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
Willing to work on a 24/7 rotating-shift basis.
12-hour shifts
Four working days per week
Day and night rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays based on the roster
