Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to support our night shift operations and ensure the reliability of plant machinery and equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes, forklifts, lifting devices and burner systems, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Fresh graduates are welcome; Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field; reading drawings; able to read

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical training are encouraged to apply.
• Basic to intermediate electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
• Familiarity with cranes, forklifts or industrial equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, including cranes, forklifts, lifting devices and burner systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and carry out first-line fault diagnosis
• Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
• Conduct inspections and support condition monitoring of critical equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for keeping machines running safely and efficiently? We’re looking for a Junior Maintenance Technician to support our night shift operations and ensure the reliability of plant machinery and equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, including cranes, forklifts, lifting devices and burner systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and carry out first-line fault diagnosis
• Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
• Conduct inspections and support condition monitoring of critical equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Technical Scope

• Work on motors, sensors, switches, control panels and mechanical systems
• Support maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Use hand tools, power tools and testing equipment safely

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with DOSH regulations and company safety standards
• Follow LOTO, Permit-to-Work and confined space procedures
• Support equipment inspections, certifications and risk identification
• Promote a strong safety culture during night shift operations

Team & Operations

• Support supervisors in coordinating contractor activities
• Monitor contractor work for safety and compliance
• Assist in managing tools, spare parts and workshop housekeeping
• Work independently during night shift with minimal supervision

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing environments

Work Arrangement

• Night shift role from Monday to Saturday (half day for Saturday). Sundays and public holidays when and as required. Eligible for overtime.
