Job summary

OCS is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems professional to join the on-site team at Iskandar Puteri, Johor. You will oversee switchboards, DC equipment, generators, and building electrical systems, ensuring timely, quality deliverables and strict adherence to client processes.

You will develop and review MOPs, manage vendors, coordinate with the CMMS/ Admin team, and participate in shutdowns. Daily site walks, reports, and proactive fault rectification are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science or Facilities Management.
• Strong fundamentals in Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics.
• O&M experience: ACMV systems in critical facilities (8+ years).
• Familiar with O&M related MEPF jargon and units (HT/LV, RMU, MSB/SSB/DB, TX).
• Willing to standby and respond outside office hours.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Client’s PPM and Reactive Maintenance processes.
• Develop or review Method of Procedure documents for PPM or RM.
• Manage and track vendors appointed or managed by Client/OCS.
• Collaborate with CMMS Engineer and Admin Executive to ensure documentation.
• Participate in shutdowns or major activities on weekends or public holidays.
• Prepare daily/weekly updates and monthly reports with site walks.
• Repair and preventive maintenance on listed electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot defects and maintain a snag list with rectification plans.
• Perform daily inspections of critical equipment.
• Support incident response and prepare RCA reports.
• Coordinate with client and vendors for safe electrical changes.
• Evaluate vendor proposals for electrical services and PPM works.
• Plan manpower to support PPM and improvement projects.
• Monitor power distribution and facilities to meet uptime.

Job description

In this role, the successful applicant will function as part of the on‑site team to ensure timely and quality deliverables of services rendered by OCS to its Client. The successful applicant will function as the focal point accountable for Electrical Systems that cover:

1) Switchboards: Medium Voltage (11kV) and Low Voltage (415V) distribution system including ATS, Transformers and Switchgears (note: B0 chargeman available on‑site)

2) Critical DC equipment: UPS, Batteries

3) Generators: Load bank testing, off load testing, functionality and interfacing with other auxiliary components such as exhaust dampers

5) Building Electrical Systems: Electrical DBs, lighting, street lighting, emergency lighting, EV Chargers

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

1) Comply with Client’s process flows on PPM and Reactive Maintenance (RM)

2) Develop and/or review Method of Procedure (MOPs) document for equipment and/or systems for which PPM or RM is to be executed. This will require close collaboration with both internal team members and with Client representative(s)

3) Manage, track and ensure timely deliverables of both OCS appointed and managed (i.e, Client’s vendor who is assigned to OCS to manage) vendors

4) Collaborate closely with internal team members to ensure internal (OCS) and external (Client) documentation processes are adhered to at all times, In particular, this will require close collaboration with the CMMS Engineer and Admin Executive of OCS at site

5) Actively participate in any shutdown and/or major activity that may only be allowed to take place on weekends or on Public Holidays

6) Prepare daily/ weekly updates and monthly report summaries as necessary. This will require daily site walks and verification (refer point no. 5 above) as part of the preparation process.

7) Repair and perform preventive maintenance on afore‑listed electrical equipment

8) Troubleshoot defective equipment and maintain a snags list of defects that cover specific issues and proposed rectification plans

9) Perform daily inspections of the critical equipment

10) Supports incident response and mitigation. Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and corrective action

11) Coordinate with client and vendor for safe execution of any electrical change.

12) Evaluate vendor proposals for electrical services, parts and PPM works.

13) Plan manpower to support PPM and others improvement projects.

14) Monitor critical power, distribution and support systems and facilities to meet or exceed up‑time service levels

Qualification Requirement

The individual whom we seek should possess the following:

1) Degree in any Engineering / Science / Facilities Management or other technical field of study

2) Highly analytical and possess strong fundamentals and comprehension of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics

3) Possesses at least 8 years of O&M experience handling ACMV systems in critical facilities (preferably Electrical and Electronics) or 5 years in other facilities

4) Highly familiar with O&M related MEPF system jargons (eg, HT and LV, RMU, MSB/SSB/DB, TX, etc) and units of measurement (eg, PPM, V, Ohm, A, etc)

5) Self‑driven, innovative and independently drive assigned tasks to satisfactory completion in an output‑based environment. Proactive in identifying issues and developing solutions to overcome them

6) Ability to be on standby and respond outside of office hours

7) Highly adept with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
