Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan GMRecruitment Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a senior electrical facilities manager to oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across our facilities. You will lead maintenance teams, coordinate with contractors, and ensure high uptime of critical electrical infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or mechatronics, at least 8 years in facility maintenance, and hands-on experience with HV/MV/LV systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
• 8+ years of facility maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of technical team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical systems and facility operations.
• Experience in data centres or large-scale industrial facilities is preferred.
• Chargeman A4/A1 certification is advantageous.
• Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia for stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across facilities.
• Monitor critical electrical systems including HV/MV/LV, UPS, ATS, transformers, RMU, SCADA, EPMS, and BMS.
• Lead troubleshooting and emergency response, RCA, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Develop maintenance plans, SOPs, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage maintenance teams, contractors, and service providers.
• Ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance, and KPI achievement.

• Experience in data centres, large-scale industrial facilities, or switchgear systems is an advantage.
• Chargeman A4/A1 certification is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
