Job summary

Malaysia Airports Berhad is seeking a skilled electrical maintenance professional to plan, coordinate and monitor daily maintenance of BHS power systems, including jod scheduling, site inspections, and preventive maintenance. You will ensure serviceability, reliability and cost efficiency of facilities.

The role requires a Chargeman A4 certificate, knowledge of LV distribution, and the ability to work with SAP/CMMS tools, while supporting shift operations and incident recovery.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining LV distribution systems (MDB/LDB/MSB) and switchgear.
• Valid Chargeman A4 Certificate of Competency with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Ability to read technical reports and write concise notes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily maintenance of BHS electrical power system.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance per standards.
• Assist during system crises and recover from incidents with CCR.
• Maintain technical data for continuous improvement and cost optimization.
• Support shift work and spare-parts coordination.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

To plan ,coordinate and monitor and execution of daily maintenance activity of BHS electrical power system (LDB & MDB) which include jod scheduling , site inspection , preventive maintenance , corrective maintenance and breakdown maintenance
and ensuring the works done are accordingly to the specified maintenance standards, best practices and quality so as to ensure the serviceability and reliability of facilities as well as operational efficiency and cost optimization.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Execute timely the operation and maintenance to ensure highest level of system availability and reliability.
• Abide by Companys policies, procedures, guidelines, local/international regulations and legislations, quality management system, EMS, OHSAS, Green Globe 21 and any other certifications.
• Assist trouble shooting efficiently and timely during any system crisis and emergency situation.
• Maintain technical data and inputs for continuous improvement action.
• To assist Technical Executive in Shift work matters.
• To assist Technical Executive Spare-parts controllers matters.
• To support Maintenance related matters as and when required
• 8. To support operation (CCR) during any system crisis and emergency situation.
• Responsible yearly maintenance of MDB and LDB
• To assist Maintenance Leader in ensuring BHS system smooth running during his shift;
• To assist Maintenance Leader in shift work matters;
• Overall execution of PPM activities ( MDB/LDB Check, Control Panel Check, etc);
• Monitoring of Tunnel ventilation system;
• Execution and monitoring of electrical breakdown maintenance;
• Supervisor M&E team when required : which involve electrical system.
• Assist Center Control Room ( CCR ) in system recovery when require
• Assist Maintenance Leader, Technical Executive and Engineer as and when require
• To verify all contractor work according to regulation of Suruhanjaya Tenaga
  
• Entry operation and maintenance data timely.
• Optimum usage of the available resources for operation and maintenance activities.
• Fully utilize IT tools i.e. SAP, CMMS.
• Lack of skill at airports; people competency and people development.
• Keeps abreast with the latest technology and best practices in the industries.

Relevant Industries

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage electrical distribution systems, Main Switchboards (MSB), Main Distribution Boards (MDB), Sub-Distribution Boards (LDB), and motor control panels.
• Experience with high-voltage/low-voltage switching, breakdown recovery, and generator standby systems in industrial or airport environments.

Education

• Must possess a valid Chargeman A4 Certificate of Competency registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Full working knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems, generator synchronizing panels, main switchboards (MSB), and underground cables.
