Job summary

Kerry in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer (Chargeman BO 11kV) to ensure reliable instrumentation, perform calibration, and lead preventive maintenance at the Pasir Gudang site. The role focuses on calibration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of instrumentation systems to support safe plant operations.

The candidate will maintain records, ensure GMP compliance, and provide training to maintenance teams while collaborating with Engineering & Maintenance

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering is required.
• Valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga BO Chargeman 11kV certificate is required.
• Registered or eligible to be registered as REM Type 2 under EECA 2024.
• Experience with industrial energy systems (11kV distribution, compressors, boilers, chillers, utilities).
• Experience implementing Energy Management Systems and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Essential: Instrumentation systems, calibration, PLC/DCS, and SAP PM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Calibration & Testing: plan and execute calibration of instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Preventive Maintenance: develop and implement maintenance schedules for instrumentation and control systems.
• Compliance: ensure activities comply with GMP, Food Safety, OH&S regulations.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Documentation: maintain records in SAP PM for calibration, maintenance, and compliance.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to improve instrumentation reliability and reduce costs.
• Project Support: assist in instrumentation design, installation, and commissioning.
• Training: provide technical training to maintenance teams.

The Electrical Engineer (Chargeman BO) is responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of all instrumentation and control systems at Pasir Gudang site. This role focuses on calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of instrumentation systems to support safe and efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Calibration & Testing Plan and execute calibration of instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level) to meet standards.
• Preventive Maintenance Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for instrumentation and control systems.
• Compliance Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with GMP, Food Safety, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and maintain process accuracy.
• Documentation Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance, and compliance in SAP PM system.
• Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to enhance instrumentation reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Project Support Assist in instrumentation design, installation, and commissioning for new projects.
• Training Provide technical training to maintenance teams on instrumentation best practices.

Key Accountabilities

Qualifications And Skills

• Education Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
• Valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga BO Chargeman 11kV certificate.
• Registered or eligible to be registered as Registered Energy Manager (REM) Type 2 under EECA 2024.
• Experience managing industrial energy systems (11kV distribution, compressors, boilers, chillers, utilities).
• Experience implementing Energy Management Systems and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Technical Instrumentation systems, calibration, PLC/DCS knowledge, SAP PM (essential); 3+ years experience (desirable)
