Arkema Coating Resins Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Pasir Gudang seeks a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (Chargeman BO) to lead reliability and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems.

You will guide E&I technicians and contractors, ensure compliance with Malaysian legislation and company standards, and manage CAPEX, shutdowns and budgets. The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical/electronic engineering, 7–8 years in E&I, plus hands-on experience with

• Strong electrical maintenance experience.
• HV system experience.
• Basic instrumentation / PLC / DCS exposure.
• Experience with SAP / CMMS and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and electrical safety requirements.
• Experience in E&I projects, shutdowns, budget control and contractor coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and mentoring skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure reliability, maintenance and technical integrity of plant electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems.
• Provide technical leadership and supervision to E&I technicians and contractors.
• Manage preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for E&I assets.
• Support safe and reliable continuous plant operation by reducing E&I-related equipment failures and unplanned downtime.
• Manage E&I maintenance work orders, critical spare parts and equipment records through SAP/CMMS.
• Plan and execute assigned E&I CAPEX, maintenance and improvement projects.
• Lead E&I scope during planned shutdowns and plant turnarounds.
• Support energy efficiency, digitalization, automation and plant reliability improvement initiatives.
• Monitor E&I maintenance expenditure against the approved E&I maintenance budget.

Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (Chargeman BO)

Responsible for the reliability, maintenance and technical integrity of plant electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems.

Provide technical leadership and supervision to E&I technicians and contractors.

Ensure electrical installations and activities comply with applicable Malaysian legislation, Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements, company standards and engineering best practices.

Manage preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for E&I assets.

Support safe and reliable continuous plant operation by reducing E&I-related equipment failures and unplanned downtime.

Manage E&I maintenance work orders, critical spare parts and equipment records through SAP/CMMS.

Plan and execute assigned E&I CAPEX, maintenance and improvement projects.

Lead E&I scope during planned shutdowns and plant turnarounds.

Support energy efficiency, digitalization, automation and plant reliability improvement initiatives.

Qualification/ Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 7–8 years of Electrical & Instrumentation experience, preferably in chemical or process industries.

Strong knowledge of 11 kV and low-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, motors, DCS, PLC, instrumentation and calibration.

Good experience in electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and equipment reliability improvement.

Familiar with SAP / CMMS and engineering documentation.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and relevant electrical safety requirements.

Experience in E&I projects, shutdown activities, budget control and contractor coordination.

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and mentoring skills.
