Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our new manufacturing facility in Kulim Hi-Tech Park. This role will play a key part during both the Project Construction Phase and the Factory Operation Phase, ensuring that all electrical systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Location: Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia

Industry: Chemical / Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

Project Construction Period

• Participate in the review of electrical design documents.
• Prepare procurement plans for electrical equipment and materials.
• Assist the Installation Manager in supervising electrical installation quality, progress, and final acceptance.
• Act as the main liaison for NUR (Northern Utility Resources Sdn Bhd) during the construction period, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance.

Factory Operation Period

• Develop and implement the company’s electrical management systems, procedures, and records.
• Prepare and manage preventive and corrective electrical maintenance plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical equipment operational issues to ensure safe, environmentally friendly, and efficient production.
• Coordinate with NUR on operational matters related to power supply and compliance.
• Manage electrical spare parts inventory and ensure availability.
• Oversee electrical equipment maintenance, including scheduling, program preparation, and execution supervision.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design and construction practices.
• Familiarity with project management principles.
• In-depth understanding of Malaysian electrical industry standards and regulations.
• Hands-on skills and valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga competency license for 240V and 415V electrical repairs in an industrial environment.
• Good communication skills in English (Mandarin is an advantage for China-based projects).
