Job summary

CRBC KUCHING ART BLUELINE 2 is seeking a site-based Electrical/M&E Engineer focusing on coordination and monitoring of electrical installation works for new building projects. You will assist the senior engineer, read drawings and SLD, and help ensure works meet schedule and safety standards.

An Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering is required, with 1–2 years' relevant experience; driving licence is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, M&E Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in electrical or M&E construction is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings and SLD.
• Willing to work on construction sites and learn practical electrical installation.
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring electrical installation works for new building construction projects.
• Assist the senior engineer in supervising electrical works on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site workers to ensure work is carried out according to schedule.
• Assist with electrical inspection, testing, and commissioning.
• Report site progress, issues, and technical matters to the Senior Engineer / Project Manager.
• Attend site meetings and assist with project coordination.
• Maintain site records, inspection documents, and progress reports.
• Ensure electrical works are carried out according to safety requirements and relevant Malaysian standards.
• Perform other M&E-related duties assigned by the management.

Cable routing and cable trays

Earthing systems

Read and understand electrical drawings and single-line diagrams (SLD).

Assist in checking electrical works against approved drawings and project requirements.

Coordinate with subcontractors and site workers to ensure work is carried out according to schedule.

Assist with electrical inspection, testing, and commissioning.

Report site progress, issues, and technical matters to the Senior Engineer / Project Manager.

Assist in identifying and resolving basic site electrical issues.

Attend site meetings and assist with project coordination.

Maintain site records, inspection documents, and progress reports.

Ensure electrical works are carried out according to safety requirements and relevant Malaysian standards.

Perform other M&E-related duties assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, M&E Engineering, or a related field.

1–2 years of experience in electrical or M&E construction is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of electrical installation for new buildings.

Able to read and understand electrical drawings and SLD.

Willing to work on construction sites and learn practical electrical installation.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.

Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence.
