Job summary

Loyal Group of Companies is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

You will design electrical systems for water and wastewater projects, prepare specs, review drawings, and support procurement and tender submissions. Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors/consultants, liaising with local authorities for permits, and participating in FAT/SAT, testing and commissioning, plus on-site

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary electrical designs for water/wastewater projects, including HV/MV/LV room sizing and single-line diagrams.
• Prepare electrical specifications, schedules, standards and equipment catalogues for electrical works.
• Review sizing, shop drawings and material submissions to ensure compliance with project specs.
• Submit electrical material submissions and shop drawings for consultant review and approval.
• Provide technical support to procurement, including technical evaluation and BOQ preparation.
• Coordinate and resolve electrical issues with contractors, consultants and relevant parties.
• Liaise with local authorities to obtain approvals and permits for electrical works.
• Demonstrate knowledge in electrical control circuits, data sheets, PLC, P&ID drawings and calculations.
• Attend meetings with authorities, clients, consultants and suppliers to discuss electrical requirements.
• Experience with FAT, SAT, testing/commissioning and on-site troubleshooting is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for electrical/control drawings is advantageous.
• Provide technical support for tender submissions and develop new electrical methods and solutions.

Job Description

Preparing preliminary design for water or wastewater treatment plant including electrical HV, MV and LV room sizing, electrical building services, electrical single line diagram and preliminary cost estimation.

Prepare electrical specifications, technical schedules, applicable standards, and equipment catalogues for electrical works, M&E building services, instrumentation, PLC, and SCADA systems.

Review electrical equipment sizing, electrical shop drawings, and material submissions prepared by third parties to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and technical requirements.

Prepare and submit electrical material submissions and shop drawings for consultant review, comment, and approval.

To provide technical support to procurement department including technical evaluation, document preparation and compilation, material taking off, Bill of Quantities preparation etc.

Coordinate and resolve electrical-related technical issues with contractors, consultants, and relevant parties.

Liaise and communicate with relevant local authorities to obtain the necessary approvals and permits for electrical works.

Possess strong technical knowledge and practical experience in electrical control circuit wiring diagrams, instrument data sheets, PLC control systems, P&ID drawings and electrical calculations.

Attend and participate in meetings with local authorities, clients, consultants, and suppliers to discuss and coordinate electrical requirements, technical matters, and project-related issues.

Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), testing and commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting of electrical and control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants will be an added advantage.

Knowledge and practical experience in using AutoCAD for the preparation and modification of electrical and control system drawings will be an added advantage.

Provide technical support on electrical-related matters for tender submissions and develop new electrical methods, solutions, and technologies to support business development and expand business opportunities
