HS Global Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing electrical systems and installations for our manufacturing, engineering, and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, main contractors, and clients to ensure all electrical works are completed on schedule, within budget, and in strict compliance with local regulatory standards.
Key responsibilitiesPrepare, review, and modify comprehensive electrical engineering designs, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, wiring circuitry, and cable routing layouts using 2D CAD or specialized electrical design software
Conduct essential electrical engineering calculations, including load analysis, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit calculations, and protection relay settings
Supervise electrical engineering works from detail design through procurement (all electrical components), installation and testing, and on site commissioning when required
Monitor project timelines, progress milestones, and material usage to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and within budgeted costs
Liaise closely with equipment suppliers, specialist fabricators, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless technical alignment and resolve field engineering issues
Coordinate, program, and monitor on-site electrical fabrication, assembly, and installation activities, and supervise junior technicians and sub-contractors to maintain high-quality workmanship and compliance with engineering standards
Lead the testing, inspection, and commissioning of low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical equipment, control panels, switchboards, and power distribution systems
Lead and oversee factory acceptance tests (FAT) for critical electrical assets like switchgears, transformers, DB, UPS and generator sets, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) when required
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical technical glitches or equipment failures during the production or site installation phases to minimize downtime
Conduct regular inspections and quality audits (ISO) to verify that workmanship and materials align perfectly with approved engineering drawings
About youBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant hands-on experience in electrical building services, customized equipment fabrication
Proficiency in AutoCAD, ePLAN, ETAP, or equivalent electrical engineering design software
Solid understanding of electrical power distribution systems, control panels, switchgear, or backup power solutions (such as UPS and standby generators)
Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent communication capabilities to liaise with clients or vendors, and a collaborative team player mindset
Familiarity with local authorities' submission processes and Singapore & Malaysia electrical codes is highly advantageous
