Job summary

Meinhardt Malaysia is hiring an Electrical Engineer to support the design team in Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur. You will assist the Team Leader and Job Captain, perform sketch analysis, and produce detailed electrical drawings for various projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and BEM Graduate Engineer registration, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential, as is attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with BEM Graduate Engineer registration.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and detail-oriented.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader and Job Captain in electrical design and calculations.
• Produce detailed electrical designs and drawings using REVIT/AUTOCAD.
• Ensure compliance with design criteria, standards, budgets, and ISO procedures.
• Participate in design, client, architect and site meetings.
• Suggest efficiency improvements and assist with project tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader and Job Captain in performing duties;
• Carry out sketch analysis, design and calculations for electrical works;
• Produce detailed design and working drawings for electrical works;
• Ensure compliance with project Design Criteria/ Client Brief/ Approved Concept;
• Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and office standards;
• Attend design, clients, architects and site meetings;
• Ensure compliance with program constraints and budget;
• Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Procedure Manual;
• Offer suggestions to improve work efficiency;
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by Team Leader/ Division Manager.

Requirements

• At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical) or equivalent AND registered with BEM as Graduate Engineer
• Excellent communication skills and a good team player
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Good working attitude and able to handle pressures effectively
• Competence in REVIT, AUTOCAD or other related software will be an added advantage
