Job summary

SGS is seeking a Sales Engineer (Electrical & Electronic) to develop new business opportunities and grow customer accounts in electronics, semiconductor, medical device, and related sectors within Malaysia. You will promote SGS testing services by understanding quality, regulatory, and product compliance requirements, and manage visits, quotes, negotiations, and follow-ups to meet sales targets.

Qualifications include a diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields and at least 2

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales or business development experience.
• Experience in testing services, scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, test & measurement, engineering solutions, or technical solution sales is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and grow customer accounts within the electronics, semiconductor, medical device, manufacturing, laboratory, and industrial sectors.
• Promote SGS testing services by understanding customers' quality, regulatory, and product compliance requirements.
• Conduct customer visits, solution presentations, quotations, negotiations, and follow-ups to achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers while identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Prepare proposals, tender submissions, and maintain an active sales pipeline through CRM.
• Collaborate with technical and laboratory teams to deliver effective testing solutions and excellent customer experience.

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Chemistry, Electronics, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines

2+ years of B2B sales or business development experience

Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
