Chemical Industries (Malaya) Sdn. Bhd. in Ipoh seeks an experienced Electrical Chargeman to conduct preventive maintenance, inspect electrical systems, diagnose faults, and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
You will supervise junior technicians, ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and safety regulations, and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, repairs, and actions.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspection of electrical systems, wiring, transformers, motors, control panels, and related equipment.
Plan and coordinate electrical maintenance schedules in accordance with production requirements to minimize equipment downtime
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults and breakdowns, ensuring reliable operation and minimum interruption to productio.n
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, gensets, chillers, PLC systems, motors, and control systems
Respond promptly to emergency electrical breakdowns and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measur.es
Supervise junior electrical technicians, electricians, and apprentices, providing technical guidance and on-the-job train.ing
Ensure all electrical maintenance and installation activities comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements, electrical safety regulations, industry standards, and company safety poli.cies
Conduct electrical risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement appropriate control measures to ensure a safe working enviro.nment

Qualifications & Requirements
1. Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience, preferably in industrial facilities and heavy industry
2. Must possess a valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga Registered Competent Electrical Chargeman Certificate, preferably AO/A1/A4 category as applicable to the facility.
3. Strong knowledge and practical experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
4. Familiar with 11kV and LV switchgear, LV switchboards, transformers, busducts, TNB incoming supply, motors, and electrical distribution systems.
5. Good understanding of building and industrial electrical services maintenance functions.
6. Knowledge of UPS, generator sets, chillers, BMS/EMS, PLC systems, and associated control systems is an added advantage.
7. Detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
8. Able to work effectively under pressure, particularly during electrical breakdowns and emergencies.
9. Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
