Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced EIA Consultant registered with the Department of Environment Malaysia (DOE) with at least seven years of experience. You will head the Environmental Division, supervise the team, and support projects across ASEAN countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.

You will review EIA, EMP and BIP reports for DOE submission, ensure compliance with Malaysian environmental regulations, and lead field investigations with the

• Liaise with project proponents and government agencies to prepare reports.
• Present report findings at technical meetings to obtain necessary approvals.

We require experienced and registered EIA Consultant with Department of Environment Malaysia with minimum of 7 years of experience.

Job Scope:

• Head the Environmental Division and supervise the team members
• Support for project in ASEAN country (Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines)
• Strong technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in environmental issues.
• To review environmental reports such as EIA, EMP, BIP and other related reports for submission to Department of Environmental Malaysia.
• Must be familiar with environmental regulations and requirements of the Department of Environment in Malaysia.
• To conduct required field work with the project team for environmental site investigations and baseline environmental monitoring, and work as a team to execute environmental studies.
• To liaise with the project proponent and government agencies in the course of conducting the studies to prepare the relevant environmental reports.
• To present report findings at technical meetings to obtain the necessary approvals either from government regulatory agencies or private sector clients.

Requirements

• Candidates must be registered with DOE as EIA Consultant with minimum of 7 years of experience.
• Strong technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in environmental issues.
• Must be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia with good writing skills in both languages.
• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any science-related field, a postgraduate degree in the relevant field is advantageous.
