Gangyao Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an environmental professional to oversee compliance with environmental laws and project requirements in Kulai, Johor.

The role involves monitoring, audits, and implementing Environmental Management Plans (EMP) at project sites. Responsibilities include waste and pollution control, preparing management reports for authorities, and investigating incidents with corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
• Ideally 3–5 years hands-on experience with EIA approval conditions onsite
• Experience with Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and Environmental Monitoring Works

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and project requirements
• Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits at project sites
• Implement and monitor Environmental Management Plans (EMP)
• Ensure proper waste management, pollution control, erosion and sediment control measures
• Monitor environmental performance indicators and prepare reports for management and authorities
• Investigate environmental incidents, complaints, and non-conformances; recommend corrective actions
• Liaise with regulatory authorities such as DOE, Local Authorities, and relevant agencies
• Ensure permits, licenses, and approvals are maintained and renewed
• Prepare environmental documentation and reports required by clients, consultants, and authorities

Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and project environmental requirements.

Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits at project sites.

Implement and monitor Environmental Management Plans (EMP).

Ensure proper waste management, pollution control, erosion and sediment control measures are in place.

Monitor environmental performance indicators and prepare reports for management and authorities.

Investigate environmental incidents, complaints, and non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.

Liaise with regulatory authorities such as DOE (Department of Environment), Local Authorities, and relevant agencies.

Ensure all environmental permits, licenses, and approvals are maintained and renewed.

Prepare environmental documentation and reports required by clients, consultants, and authorities.

Requirement :

Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related course

Ideally at least 3 - 5 years hands-on experience in implementing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approval conditions onsite, preparation of Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and conduct of Environmental Monitoring Works

Able to converse well in English , Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarina

Strong ethical behavior - loyal, responsible and honest at all times

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Possession of environmental-related certifications such as CESSWI, CePIETSO, CePSWaM, or equivalent is preferred.

Able to travel independently on work assignments.
