Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN LIFEWORK SDN BHD seeks an experienced EHS professional to manage and enhance the EHS Management System in line with ISO 14001 and 45001 at our Penang site. You will ensure DOSH/DOE compliance, perform risk assessments, and drive corrective actions with a strong focus on safety and regulatory adherence.

The role requires CHRA/HAZMAT handling experience, emergency response leadership, and annual EHS training delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of OSH experience and managing ISO 14001 & 45001 systems.
• Experience in First Aid, Fire Safety and Chemical Handling (CHRA/HAZMAT).
• Experience leading an emergency response team or acting as emergency commander.
• ISO 14001 & 45001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
• Mandarin speaking ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking contractors.
• Certified Safety and Health Officer ( SHO ) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the EHS Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and applicable local regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH, DOE and other relevant statutory requirements.
• Conduct HIRARC, risk assessments, workplace inspections and follow up on corrective and preventive actions periodically.
• Coordinate CHRA, occupational health surveillance and medical examination programs.
• Develop and maintain EHS documentation, records and reports, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Plan and conduct annual EHS training and competency development programs.
• Support environmental, occupational safety and health initiatives to promote a safe and compliant workplace.
