Job summary

Concrete Engineering Products Berhad is seeking a dedicated HSE/IMS Support professional to assist the Safety & Health Officer in coordinating and improving the company's health, safety and environment practices across HQ and factories.

You will help implement ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 across sites, maintain controlled documents, assist with audits, ESG reporting and training, and ensure compliance with DOSH and DOE requirements as directed by the SHO.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in OSH/Environment/Quality/Engineering
• Minimum 1 year in HSE or Integrated Management Systems
• Exposure to ISO 9001/14001/45001 is an advantage

Job description

You will be responsible for supporting the Safety & Health Officer (SHO) in coordinating, maintaining and continuously improving the Company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices and Integrated Management System (IMS) across HQ and operating factories. The role will also assist with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation, audits, controlled documentation, ESG reporting, occupational health and environmental monitoring, training, compliance tracking, performance reporting and other HSE or IMS programmes.

Job Description

Assist the SHO in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Company’s IMS, covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 across HQ and operating factories.

Assist in preparing, reviewing, updating, and controlling IMS/HSE documented information, including policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, forms, records, HIRARC, environmental aspect and impact registers, legal and compliance registers, and other controlled documents.

Support internal and external audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, including audit preparation, evidence and document compilation, coordination with process owners and factories, recording of findings, and follow-up on non-conformities (NCRs), corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement.

Assist in monitoring IMS objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), risks, opportunities, and action plans, including quality, environmental, and Occupational Safety and Health objectives, and compile performance information for Management Review.

Support ISO 9001 activities, including process documentation, quality records, risk and opportunity registers, quality performance reporting, non-conformity and corrective-action tracking, and coordination with relevant process owners.

Coordinate the collection, verification, and consolidation of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Scheduled Waste data required for ESG and sustainability reporting in accordance with Group requirements.

Assist the SHO in coordinating occupational health, safety, and environmental monitoring programmes, including CHRA, NRA, audiometric testing, CEM, IECS, boundary noise monitoring, ambient air monitoring, stack monitoring, and other applicable monitoring requirements.

Coordinate HSE and IMS training and awareness programmes, including training plans, training providers, quotations, schedules, attendance records, certificates, and training documentation. Assist in conducting training and awareness sessions where required.

Assist with factory HSE/IMS inspections, audits, and compliance visits, and maintain records of observations, incidents, quality and HSE findings, corrective actions, and closure evidence.

Assist in maintaining statutory and compliance records and support documentation and submissions to relevant authorities, such as the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and the Department of Environment (DOE), as directed by the SHO.

Prepare and update HSE/IMS reports, audit and corrective-action trackers, incident and finding registers, monitoring schedules, Management Review materials, Safety and Health Committee records, emergency drill records, and other HSE/IMS performance documentation.

Coordinate with internal departments, factory management, Quality teams, process owners, Group Sustainability, consultants, auditors, laboratories, training providers, and other relevant external parties on assigned HSE/IMS matters.

Assist the SHO with other HSE, IMS, ESG, and compliance-related assignments as required.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Engineering, Science or a related field.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in HSE, Quality or Integrated Management Systems, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial or construction environment. Fresh graduates with strong relevant knowledge and practical exposure may also be considered.

Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation, documentation or audits would be an advantage.

Relevant OSH certification or competency such as Site Safety Supervisor / Yellow Book would be an advantage
