Job summary

Adecco is seeking an Operations Assistant for Sea Freight Import (KUL). The role covers coordinating inquiries, bookings and documentation for seafreight shipments, and ensuring data integrity in CW1 and related systems.

The position requires at least 1 year of relevant experience and proficiency in MS Office tools. The contract is a 6-month term, renewable based on business needs, with a standard 9AM-6PM workday and a basic salary up to RM 3,500 plus statutory contributions, leave entitlement,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in seafreight or freight forwarding.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Email.

Responsibilities

• Respond to enquiries, bookings and document requests for seafreight shipments.
• Register shipments into CW1 and ensure compliance and SOP.
• Update internal/external systems with shipment data in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on bookings, Bill of Lading, manifests, costing and invoicing.
• Verify documents like Bill of Lading, SOLAS/VGM submission, and related cargo documents.
• Handle cargo-related incidents and communicate with customers and overseas offices.
• Assist in monthly reporting and invoicing processes.
