Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join the construction team in Ipoh. You will manage project costs, verify measurements, monitor budgets, and handle payment certificates while ensuring contract compliance.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor in Quantity Surveying with 2–5 years of site experience. Proficiency in CostX/AutoCAD and MS Office is advantageous; travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant site QS experience (fresh graduates with strong motivation may apply).
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and measurement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software (AutoCAD, CostX or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify site measurements and quantity take-offs.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and progress claims.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims and prepare payment certificates.
• Assist in contract administration and variation orders.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and cost records.
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications and company procedures.
