Precision Control Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support cost control, contract management, and project delivery. The role focuses on preparing claims, managing variations, performing site valuations, and ensuring timely, accurate documentation throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering/electrical/electronics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QS or contracts.
• Experience with data center projects is advantageous.
• Willing to be based at site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit progress claims and variation orders with accuracy and proper documentation.
• Attend site valuations, measurements, and meetings to support contract and cost management.
• Assist in preparation and award of contracts, including review and subcontractor valuations.
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Provide pre- and post-contract support, including cost monitoring and contractual correspondence.
• Serve as liaison between contract manager and project manager on variations and clarifications.
• Work with the project manager to prepare regular physical progress reports.
• Assist in managing contract variations and preparing EOT applications.
• Oversee post-contract activities: monitor costs, evaluate variations, and prepare final accounts.
• Track retention sums held by clients and ensure timely release on project completion.
