• Physically fit for loading/unloading and farm activities and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned company vehicles safely, perform pre-trip checks and ensure roadworthiness.
• Deliver livebirds and goods according to schedule with accuracy in quantity and destination.
• Assist with loading/unloading, secure crates, and check quantity during loading.
• Ensure delivery documents are available and acknowledged by receiving parties.
• Follow farm biosecurity, disinfection and road safety requirements.

Job description

The position is responsible for company vehicle safety, delivery accuracy, loading and unloading support, delivery documentation, farm biosecurity, road safety and compliance with applicable transportation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned company vehicles safely and responsibly, conduct pre-trip checks, and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and suitable for assigned transportation activity
• Monitor fuel, tyres, lights, brakes and other basic vehicle conditions, report defects and breakdowns immediately, and maintain the vehicle in a clean and hygienic condition
• Deliver livebirds, goods and other assigned cargo according to the approved schedule and ensure timely delivery to designated destinations
• Follow assigned routes and instructions, maintain delivery accuracy in terms of quantity, destination and documentation
• Assist in loading and unloading goods and livebirds, ensure goods are properly arranged and secured, and check quantity during loading
• Ensure crates are properly secured and correctly identified, and minimise damage, loss or incorrect delivery during transportation
• Assist with broiler catching and loading when assigned, weigh and record livebirds during loading where required, and follow approved catching and handling procedures
• Ensure delivery orders and relevant transportation documents are available before departure, check documents against assigned delivery, and obtain required acknowledgement from receiving parties
• Follow all farm disinfection and biosecurity requirements, comply with vehicle entry and disinfection procedures, and maintain proper hygiene during loading and transportation
• Follow all road safety and company safety procedures, report accidents involving company vehicles immediately, use required PPE during loading and unloading, and report unsafe conditions

About you

• Minimum 1 year of relevant driving or transportation experience preferred
• Experience driving lorries or commercial vehicles is an advantage
• Experience in poultry, farm, or cross-border delivery is an added advantage
• SPM and above
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence and passport
• Required commercial or vocational driving licence or permits must be valid where applicable
• Able to speak and write Malay or other languages fluently
• Responsible and safety-conscious, reliable and punctual, with good road discipline
• Physically fit for loading, unloading and farm activities, honest and trustworthy
• Able to follow instructions and SOPs, calm when handling traffic or operational problems, and able to communicate effectively

Our premium CaroGold Chickens eventually got us a “Lower in Saturated Fat” healthier choice label from Singapore’s Health Promotion Board.
