Job summary

Prodana Wawasan Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to translate requirements into precise drawings and BIM models. You will collaborate with engineers to develop detailed designs using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and project deadlines.

Key duties include preparing fabrication drawings, reviewing sketches with the team, and updating documentation in the project server.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Drafting or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years of related drafting experience.
• Proficient in CAD and BIM software, especially AutoCAD (2D/3D) and Revit.

Job description

A Mechanical Drafter role involving the creation of detailed technical drawings, BIM models, and fabrication documentation. You will work with engineers to translate structural and product requirements into precise designs using CAD software, and collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet engineering standards and project deadlines.

Key responsibilities

Liaise with engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs

About you

At least a Certificate in Drafting / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or proven relevant experience as a drafter in a similar role

Strong working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, particularly AutoCAD (2D/3D technical drawings) and Revit / Revit MEP (for building services)

Understanding of M&E building services, schematics, routing, piping, and local engineering codes or practices

Ability to produce proposed layouts, detail drawings, shop drawings, BIM models, and "as-built" drawings

Minimum 2 – 4 years' experience in related field

Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a project team

Responsible, committed, and able to meet project deadlines
