Job summary

Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel and Residences is seeking a Doorman to create a warm, welcoming first impression for guests arriving at the hotel. You will open doors, greet visitors, assist with luggage, and provide directions to hotel facilities and local attractions.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Bellman/Concierge, arranging taxis, and ensuring a smooth entrance flow while maintaining grooming standards and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent education.
• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fit to stand for long periods and assist with luggage.
• Well-groomed and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Job description

The Doorman is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression for all guests arriving at the hotel. The role involves assisting guests at the main entrance, opening doors, greeting them courteously, providing directions, assisting with luggage when required, and ensuring smooth traffic flow at the hotel entrance.

Welcome guests and visitors in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.

Open hotel entrance doors and assist guests entering and leaving the property.

Assist guests with luggage and coordinate with the Bellman/Concierge team when necessary.

Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.

Ensure smooth flow of traffic at the entrance by assisting with guest arrivals and departures.

Well-groomed at all times, upholding hotel grooming standards.

Monitor the entrance area to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness.

Assist with arranging taxis, valet services, and other transportation requests.

Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or requests efficiently and escalation when necessary.

Support the concierge and front office team in delivering excellent guest service.
