Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Document Controller to support a major greenfield data center development in Serendah, Selangor. You will manage project documentation, control versions, and ensure all records are accurately filed and distributed to stakeholders within the project team and client networks.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, consultants and contractors, maintaining document registers, and generating status reports.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in document control within construction, engineering, industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, or related project environments.
• Strong understanding of document control processes, document numbering systems, revision control, and records managements.
• Experience working on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience using electronic document management systems (EDMS) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, filing, and archiving of project documentation in accordance with established document control procedures.
• Maintain document registers and ensure accurate version control for all project documentation.
• Coordinate the submission and tracking of drawings, technical documents, RFIs, method statements, inspection requests, reports, and other project records.
• Ensure documents are reviewed, approved, and distributed to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Maintain both electronic and hard-copy filing systems, ensuring documentation is organised and readily accessible.
• Monitor document workflows and follow up with project teams to ensure timely responses and approvals.
• Support the project team in maintaining compliance with client document management standards and quality procedures.
• Generate document control reports, transmittals, and status updates for project management.
• Assist with project close-out by ensuring all final documentation, as-built records, and handover documentation are complete and properly archived.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all project information and documentation.

About the Role

Previous data center experience is advantageous but not essential
