Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur invites dynamic Dim Sum Chef professionals to join our premier kitchen. You will oversee dim sum preparation, lead a skilled team, and ensure authentic Chinese cuisine meets the group's exacting standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Chinese cuisine, including dim sum, with experience in luxury hotels or reputable restaurants. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Chinese cuisine, with at least 2 years as a Dim Sum Chef or senior supervisor.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or reputable Chinese restaurant preferred.
• Strong expertise in traditional and contemporary dim sum preparation techniques.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dim sum items to the highest standards.
• Create and maintain authentic and innovative dim sum recipes with consistent taste and texture.
• Lead, train, and supervise the dim sum kitchen team to achieve excellence and productivity.
• Plan and coordinate daily dim sum production to meet business demands.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Develop new menu offerings and seasonal specials with the Executive Chinese Chef.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas' cleanliness and safe operation.
• Monitor labor and food costs to optimize kitchen efficiency.
