CHEC CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD invites applications for a railway NDT role focusing on ultrasonic rail flaw detection and compliance with maintenance standards. Fresh graduates with a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Railway/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or NDT are welcome; internship experience is a plus.
You will assist in defect reporting, maintain inspection records, work outdoors on shifts at project sites, and collaborate with safety procedures to ensure safe railway operations.
Carry out ultrasonic rail flaw detection inspections in accordance with railway maintenance standards and inspection procedures.
Assist in identifying, reporting and recording rail defects to ensure the safe operation of the railway.
Support preventive inspection programmes and follow up on defect rectification activities.
Operate and maintain rail flaw detection equipment in accordance with company procedures.
Prepare inspection records and technical reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Comply with company safety procedures and applicable railway maintenance standards.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Railway Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with internship, industrial training or project experience in railway track maintenance, rail flaw detection or non-destructive testing (NDT) will have an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of railway track systems and rail maintenance. Basic understanding of ultrasonic rail flaw detection principles and inspection procedures. Familiarity with railway safety requirements and inspection standards. Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods will be an advantage.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Good teamwork and communication skills.
Willing to work outdoors, on shifts and at project sites when required.
