Job summary

CHEC CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD invites applications for a railway NDT role focusing on ultrasonic rail flaw detection and compliance with maintenance standards. Fresh graduates with a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Railway/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or NDT are welcome; internship experience is a plus.

You will assist in defect reporting, maintain inspection records, work outdoors on shifts at project sites, and collaborate with safety procedures to ensure safe railway operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Railway Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, NDT or related discipline.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply; internship or project experience in railway track maintenance or NDT is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of railway track systems and rail maintenance; understanding of ultrasonic rail flaw detection.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; safety-conscious and team-oriented.

Job description

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Railway Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or a related discipline.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with internship, industrial training or project experience in railway track maintenance, rail flaw detection or non-destructive testing (NDT) will have an added advantage.

Basic knowledge of railway track systems and rail maintenance. Basic understanding of ultrasonic rail flaw detection principles and inspection procedures. Familiarity with railway safety requirements and inspection standards. Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods will be an advantage.

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
