Job summary

JLand Group - JLG is seeking a seasoned Lead for Property Development in Malaysia (Johor). You will steer projects from concept to completion, coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and authorities to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

You will oversee feasibility studies, master planning, and approvals, monitor progress and risks, and present updates to senior management. Strong leadership and communication are essential, with a hands-on approach to ensure success.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in a relevant discipline with strong understanding of development lifecycle.
• Track record in property development or project management.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams, consultants, authorities and contractors.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall development of assigned property projects.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Oversee project feasibility studies, development proposals, planning and statutory approvals.
• Monitor project progress, programme, budget, quality and key deliverables.
• Review and provide input on development concepts, master planning, design and project strategy.
• Identify project risks, issues and potential delays, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Lead project meetings and follow up on action items and outstanding matters.
• Prepare and present project updates, management reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and relevant development guidelines.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support commercial, financial and procurement activities related to the development.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the development team to achieve project objectives.

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Good project planning, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project management tools.
