Hakshan is seeking an accurate and detail-oriented Accountant to maintain the general ledger, prepare financial statements, and support daily accounting operations in Kuala Lumpur. You will help ensure timely reporting, implement internal controls, and assist with tax compliance and audits.

The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in accounting/finance, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software to manage journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting timelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and local tax requirements.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the general ledger and record financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.
• Process accounts payable and receivable; manage invoices and payments.
• Prepare month-end and year-end financial reports for management review.
• Assist budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax advisers for filings and records.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation calculations.
• Ensure internal controls and confidentiality of financial data.
