Job summary

TP in Penang seeks a technically skilled IT support professional to provide end-user assistance and maintain desktop infrastructure. You will troubleshoot hardware/software issues, manage user accounts, and ensure secure, reliable IT operations to support business activities.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in desktop support, solid Windows/Office knowledge, and good communication skills for diverse user bases.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2–3 years in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Office applications.
• Experience with user accounts and Active Directory is a plus.
• Basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and LAN/Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues promptly.
• Set up user accounts, manage access, and configure systems as required.
• Support onboarding/offboarding, device setup, deployment, and recovery.
• Monitor desktop systems for performance, security, and reliability.
• Assist with software installs, updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
• Document incidents, resolutions, assets, and procedures accurately.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors on complex issues.
• Provide guidance and technical support to end users to improve IT experience.
