Job summary

RAPID SYSTEMZ PTE. LTD. is seeking a Desktop Engineer to provide daily IT infrastructure support across systems, networks and end-user devices.

You will configure Windows servers, manage on-premises and cloud VM environments, and participate in deployment and production setups. The role requires hands-on Windows experience, strong Microsoft qualifications, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities

• Provide daily IT infrastructure/operations support via helpdesk, remote and onsite.
• Configure and maintain on-premises and cloud server hardware and VMs, storage and networking gear.
• Assist in infrastructure design for IT services based on requirements and offerings.
• Manage Windows OS and Windows Server environments.
• Implement proactive improvements by reviewing past issues and weaknesses.
• Follow change, incident and problem management processes.
• Perform system/database setup, patching, backup, DR and automation tasks.
• Troubleshoot IT infrastructure and application issues.
• Support data migration, integration, monitoring, security and compliance.
• Participate in system integration, UAT/FAT/SAT, deployment and production setup.

Job Descriptions

• Providing daily IT Infrastructure/Operations support covering systems software, networks, servers, and end-user terminals through IT Helpdesk, Remote and Onsite Support.
• Configure and maintain Customer’s server hardware and virtual machines (on-premises and cloud), storage appliances and network equipment like Routers/Firewalls/Switches/VPN/Wireless etc.
• Assist in the development of infrastructure designs for IT services based on technical requirements and standard IT offerings.
• Manage and support Windows OS and Windows Server Environments.
• Support and execute pro‑active improvements by assessing past problems and current weaknesses in the existing system and/or infrastructure.
• Involved in applying formal change management, incident management, and problem management process.
• Perform system/database setup, patching, backup, DR and automate tasks.
• Other ad‑hoc assigned duties
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and IT system issues.
• Support data migration, integration, monitoring, security and compliance.
• Participate in system integration, UAT/FAT/SAT, deployment, staging, and production setup.
• Work with services such as AD, NMS, ClearPass, MFA/2FA, KMS, Antivirus, Patch Management, MDM.

REQUIREMENTS

• Academic qualification in Information Technology or any relevant discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows environment
• Good Knowledge of Microsoft‑related activities and require technical qualifications
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Independent and able to work with all levels of personnel
• Able to work within tight timelines with good prioritization skills
• Good analytical and problem‑solving
• Hands‑on knowledge for Cloud Platform – MS Azure, especially Entra, M365 Security etc will be an advantage
