Job summary

EPF Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Wintel Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. You will manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, VMware, Azure hybrid infrastructure, and secure FTP/SFTP services to ensure stable, secure operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation, patching, security controls, and documentation, supporting transformation projects in a permanent on-site role within the Digital Infrastructure Department at Petaling Jaya.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience administering Windows Server environments in enterprise or data center contexts.
• Hands-on with Active Directory, VMware, Windows patching, security management, and exposure to Azure/Azure Arc and FTP/SFTP is a plus.
• Certifications in Windows Server Hybrid Admin, Azure, VMware, Cybersecurity, or related areas are advantageous.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wintel Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory services, virtualization platforms, Azure hybrid infrastructure, and secure file transfer services (FTP/SFTP). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure stability, cybersecurity compliance, and the successful delivery of operational and strategic technology initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Support infrastructure transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption, workload migration, infrastructure modernization, and automation projects to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service reliability.

1. System Administration

• Manage and support Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware infrastructure to ensure stable and secure operations.

2. Automation

• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.

3. Monitoring and Troubleshooting

• Monitor system performance and resolve infrastructure issues to ensure high service availability and reliability.

4. Security

• Implement security controls, perform patching and vulnerability remediation, and ensure compliance with security standards.

5. Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and operational improvements.

6. Documentation

• Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, and system records in compliance with organizational standards.

7. Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

• Administer and support Azure, Azure Arc, and hybrid cloud environments to ensure reliable service delivery.

8. FTP/SFTP Administration

• Manage and support secure FTP/SFTP services, including user access, file transfers, and connectivity troubleshooting.

9. Incident Management

• Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents while providing timely support to maintain service availability and minimize business impact, including participation in on-call and after-hours support when required

10. Change & Service Request Management

• Plan, implement, and support infrastructure changes, upgrades, deployments, and service requests, ensuring all activities are properly tested, documented, and delivered within approved change management processes, project timelines, and agreed SLA/OLA targets, including support during after-office hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.

11. Patch & Vulnerability Management

• Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance across Windows infrastructure.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Malaysian citizen.
• Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government from any local or overseas higher learning institution.
• Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in administering and supporting Windows Server environments within enterprise or data center infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, VMware virtualization, Windows patching, security management, and related technologies, with exposure to Azure/Azure Arc and FTP/SFTP solutions being an added advantage.
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent certifications are an added advantage.
• ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Cybersecurity, or Infrastructure-related certifications are an added advantage.
• Professional certifications in PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, or Cloud Technologies are an advantage.
• Strong experience in Windows Server administration, including patching, hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO), IIS, and Certificate Services.
• Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies (vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter).
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting, automation, and administration of FTP/SFTP services.
• Familiar with Microsoft Azure, Azure Arc, hybrid cloud environments, and vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys).
• Good understanding of networking, cybersecurity best practices, system monitoring, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
