Job summary

IPS Industrial Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Design Engineer – Technical Documentation & Engineering Support to maintain accurate, organized, and high-quality documentation. The role focuses on verifying information, organizing files, and supporting daily engineering tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Chinese-speaking ability is preferred due to collaboration with China-based counterparts.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Engineering background is not mandatory; candidates with a strong interest in technical/design work are welcome.
• Good attention to detail and a careful working attitude.
• Responsible, conscientious, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Able to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Comfortable with repetitive and detail-oriented work.
• Able to manage workload effectively, including during busy periods.
• Candidates who are organized and enjoy working with technical information are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Chinese speaking is preferred due to frequent communication with China-based counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify technical information to ensure it is accurate and complete.
• Check technical documents carefully and identify any missing or incorrect information.
• Convert documents into the required formats using designated software.
• Organize and maintain technical documents in a systematic manner.
• Manage document registration, numbering, filing, circulation, retrieval, and disposal.
• Maintain proper document version control and ensure the latest information is available.
• Support electronic document management and keep records properly updated.
• Ensure technical documents follow the required standards and formats.
• Work closely with the team to complete daily documentation and technical support tasks.
• Take on other related duties as required by the team.
