Job summary

DSCAFF ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a Civil Engineer to design cost-effective scaffolding solutions, draft drawings and prepare material lists in line with industry standards.

The role emphasizes safety, structural feasibility and constructability, while supporting tendering and on-site construction. Collaboration with clients, consultants, and engineers is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or professional degree in civil engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp and MicroStation is a plus.
• Familiarity with architectural, civil, electrical, or mechanical drafting.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin reading/speaking is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost effective and optimum design solutions on customized scaffolding per project and client requirements.
• Prepare drawings, calculations and material lists efficiently.
• Review safety, feasibility, and functionality of designs with a focus on structure, constructability and sustainability.
• Provide technical support to sales and project departments including tendering and on-site construction.
• Coordinate with sales engineers, clients, consultants, and contractors; handle ad-hoc tasks from management.

Job description

Prepare cost effective & optimum design solution on customized scaffolding as per project/ client requirements in line with industry standards;

Prepare drawings, calculations and material list efficiently;

Review and ensure the safety, feasibility, and functionality of designs, with a focus on structural aspects, considering factors such as constructability, maintainability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability;

Offer technical support to sales and project departments, including tendering and on-site construction;

Coordinate with various stakeholders such as sales engineers, clients, consultants, and/or contractors for projects; and

Efficiently manage additional ad-hoc tasks delegated by the management.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Proficiency in Autocad, and knowledge in other software (Solidworks, Revit, Sketchup, and Microstation) will be an added advantage

Familiarity with architectural, civil, electrical, or mechanical drafting.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Fluent in English and ability to read and converse in Mandarin will be an added advantage

Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
