Job summary

Solid Horizon Sdn Bhd is seeking a CAD Draughtsman to create detailed 2D/3D drawings for steel structures and building projects. You will interpret complex drawings, ensure compliance with standards, and collaborate with engineers and contractors to resolve issues.

The role involves mentoring junior drafters, coordinating with procurement and site teams, and preparing submission drawings for authorities. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD drawings for projects.
• Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings for steel structures and building projects using CAD software.
• Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings to produce fabrication and construction-ready drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with design specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to resolve design issues.
• Review and update existing drawings and documentation as needed.
• Mentor junior draughtsmen and provide guidance on best practices.
• Coordinate with procurement and site teams for material specifications and construction feasibility.
• Operate CAD equipment or drafting station to produce designs, drawings, charts, and records.
• Design using CAD software and draw drafts using free hand.
• Develop detailed design drawings and revise drawings using CAD.
• Coordinate data collection and incorporate into drawings.
• Prepare civil designs and measurements as necessary
• Prepare technical work drawings, tender, constructions and detailed drawings.
• Prepare proposed/construction/shop/as-built drawings for authority submission and client presentation.
• Assist engineers to carry out production drawings.
• Produce all drafting services for concept and detailed drafting of civil engineering, commercial buildings and assigned projects
• Review and interpret according to client specifications
• Provide timely, accurate documentation meeting project standards
• Develop knowledge of telecommunications, infrastructural, design, structural, mechanical, and electrical materials and methods used in commercial construction
• Determine procedures and instructions according to design specifications and material quality

• Work closely with engineers and designers to get the conceptual design and understanding of drawing specifications then develop detailed design drawings and revise drawing using CAD.
• Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate this information into drawings.
• Obtain and assemble data to complete civil designs and measurements as necessary
• Prepare technical work drawings, tender, constructions and detailed drawings respectively.
• Prepare proposed/construction/shop/as-built drawings for authority submission and presentation to client.
