Job summary

Lianhetech Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a process design engineer to collect data, prepare energy balances, and develop process flow schemes. You will select equipment, produce P&ID and layout drawings, and support electrical, instrumentation, and civil design tasks.

The role involves design reviews across disciplines, process safety assessments, and ensuring compliance with national regulations. CAD proficiency is required, with a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering as a baseline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related fields.
• Major in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related fields.
• Candidates with more than 1 year of process design experience are preferred.
• Proficient in using CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Collect project-related process data, design specifications, safety and occupational health standards, and other technical documents.
• Prepare project material and energy balance calculations and design process flow schemes.
• Complete equipment selection and prepare design drawings such as P&ID diagrams, non-standard equipment condition drawings, and equipment layout drawings.
• Provide project equipment data sheets and material lists, and support the completion of electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineering design work.
• Prepare project-related design proposals.
• Assist the department manager in completing design reviews among various disciplines and departments.
• Participate in project design and process safety assessments.
• Complete project preparation work, evaluate compliance with assessment requirements and national regulations, and coordinate the completion of preliminary design.
• Participate in drawing reviews and examine relevant drawings.
• Assist in preparing project acceptance documents and project cost budgets.
• Improve and archive P&ID drawings based on HAZOP and PSSR results.
