Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks an experienced electrical design engineer to complete machinery electrical schematics, size components, and ensure ISO compliance. You will collaborate with mechanical, programming, and project teams to meet design requirements across systems and larger assemblies.

The role involves creating testing documents per EN 60204-1, generating BOMs, and updating as-built drawings while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CAD/CAE programs, preferably ePLAN 8.
• Hands-on wiring experience and knowledge of electrical and control components.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compliance with ISO standards and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Completes the electrical design and schematics of machinery.
• Assists other designers with electrical design and schematics of larger systems.
• Communicate project concerns, status, and design solutions with management, project manager, staff and clients.
• Discuss with Mechanical and Programming Design team to evaluate design and ensure requirements are met.
• Use appropriate methods to generate and verify the design.
• Manages all assigned tasks in a neat and timely manner while maintaining budgeted hours.
• Calculates and documents system and component sizing.
• Create testing/control documents according to EN 60204-1.
• Selection and designing of system and hardware components.
• Generate and submit BOM to Purchasing Department.
• Completes “as built” drawing updates and reviews with other departments.
• Follow instruction and training prescribed by the Project Leader.
• Assist with training and evaluating electrical engineering and build staff.
• Adhere to safety rules and maintain clean work area.
• Adapt to fast-moving project schedules.
• Other duties as instructed by superiors.

Job description

• Completes the electrical design and schematics of machinery.
• Assists other designers with the electrical design and schematics of larger systems.
• Communicate project concerns, project status, and design solutions with management, project manager, fellow staff and clients.
• Discuss with the Mechanical and Programming Design team members to evaluate the design and ensure that design requirements are met.
• Use appropriate methods to generate and verify the design.
• Manages all assigned tasks in a neat and timely while striving to maintain budgeted hours.
• Calculates and documents system and component sizing. (current, etc.)
• Compliant implementation of national and international standards and directives as well as of the customers’ specific requirements.
• Creation of testing/control documents according to EN 60204-1.
• Selection and designing of system and hardware components.
• Generate and submit Bill of Materials (BOM) to the Purchasing Department.
• Completes “as built” drawing updates, reviews updates/changes with the other departments when required.
• Follow instruction and training prescribed by the Project Leader.
