Job summary

Maybank in Malaysia is seeking a Relationship Manager, Deposit, Commercial Banking to grow and manage the commercial deposit portfolio. You will build meaningful client relationships, drive business growth, and deliver banking solutions to help businesses achieve their financial goals.

You will expand deposits across CASA, Fixed Deposits, MMD, Payroll, and Trade, while cross-selling Cash Management, Trade Finance, and other transactional banking products.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, relationship management, or deposit acquisition within banking/financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to grow portfolio and expand client base.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage the Commercial Banking deposit portfolio (Conventional & Islamic).
• Develop relationships with commercial banking clients and expand deposit balances across CASA, Fixed Deposits, Money Market Deposits, Payroll, Trade, and Operating Accounts.
• Drive customer acquisition and increase deposit balances through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market penetration.
• Identify business opportunities and engage clients to promote Cash Management, Trade Finance, Payroll, FCY Accounts, and other transactional banking solutions.
• Collaborate with Region Heads, Branches, and internal stakeholders to deliver holistic banking solutions.
• Deepen customer relationships and maximize share of wallet through cross-selling of products and services (Commercial Cards, Insurance, Financing Facilities, Treasury Solutions, Transaction Banking).
• Facilitate onboarding, activation, and utilization of Forex facilities to support domestic and international business activities.
• Maintain understanding of market trends, industry developments, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities.
