Job summary

Maybank seeks a Relationship Manager for Commercial Banking Deposits to grow the deposit portfolio across conventional and Islamic products. You will nurture client relationships, drive new business, and promote a range of transactional banking solutions to support client cash management and trade needs.

The role requires strong sales acumen, excellent communication, and the ability to work with regional and branch teams to deliver tailored solutions for commercial clients.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of deposit products (CA SA/FD/MMD) and related banking services.
• Proven ability to acquire new clients and grow portfolios.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence decision-makers across organisational levels.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage the Commercial Banking deposit portfolio (Conventional & Islamic).
• Develop relationships with commercial banking clients and expand deposit balances.
• Drive customer acquisition and increase deposit balances through strategic prospecting and referrals.
• Identify opportunities to promote Cash Management, Trade Finance, Payroll, FCY and other transactional banking solutions.
• Collaborate with Region Heads, Branches and internal stakeholders to deliver holistic banking solutions.
• Cross-sell products to maximize share of wallet (Commercial Cards, Financing Facilities, Treasury Solutions).
• Onboard Foreign Exchange facilities and related services.
