Job summary

Gentle Supreme Sdn Bhd in Subang Jaya is seeking a Sales & Operations Executive to develop accurate demand forecasts and support inventory planning. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance to align demand with business goals and minimize stock shortages.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years in demand or inventory planning, preferably in FMCG. Proficiency in Excel and ERP/BI tools is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics or Economics.
• At least 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning or sales forecasting, preferably FMCG.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with good business understanding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP, demand planning or BI systems is an advantage.
• Good communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain short-, medium- and long-term demand forecasts based on historical sales, market trends, promotional activities and business plans.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to gather information on promotions, new product launches, customer activities and market changes.
• Facilitate monthly demand review meetings and support the S&OP process.
• Analyse forecast accuracy, forecast bias and demand variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor inventory levels, product availability, slow-moving and ageing stocks to minimise out-of-stock situations and excess inventory.
• Identify potential supply or demand risks and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate demand planning data, assumptions and product information in the planning system.
• Prepare regular reports and analysis on demand forecasts, inventory trends, service levels and planning indicators.
• Support new product launches, product transitions, discontinuations and phase-in/phase-out planning.
• Work with Supply Planning, Procurement and Logistics to align demand with supply capabilities.
