Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Planning Executive/Manager in Klang to oversee end-to-end production scheduling, inventory optimization, and material planning. You will drive operational efficiency and lead cross-functional alignment between production and logistics to streamline factory throughput.

The role emphasizes MPS/MRP, capacity/demand alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. On-site work in Sekinchan, Selangor is required.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of production/supply planning experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize master production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Oversee raw material availability, balance inventory levels, and minimize waste or stockouts.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Operations to align capacity with demand forecasts.
• Identify bottlenecks in the planning cycle and drive Lean/Kaizen/5S improvements.
• Monitor KPIs such as Schedule Attainment, OTIF, and Inventory Turnover, reporting to senior management.

About the job

• Production & Master Scheduling: Develop, manage, and optimize master production schedules (MPS) to ensure on-time delivery while maximizing factory capacity.
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Oversee raw material availability, balance inventory levels, and minimize waste or stockout risks.
• Capacity & Demand Alignment: Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Operations to align production capabilities with market demand forecasts.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the planning cycle and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen/5S principles).
• Team Leadership & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Schedule Attainment, On-Time In-Full (OTIF), and Inventory Turnover, providing actionable insights to senior management.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience: 4–8+ years of production/supply planning experience within the Manufacturing sector (experience taking on senior executive responsibilities or managing small teams is highly preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, strong negotiation capabilities, and proven leadership or stakeholder management skills.
• Location: Willingness to work on-site in Sekinchan, Selangor.
