Job summary

VAT GROUP in Batu Kawan, Malaysia, seeks a Supply Chain Analyst to drive demand planning excellence through forecast governance, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will analyze forecast demand, manage deviations, own the monthly forecast cycle, and lead continuous improvement initiatives with global alignment. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years in demand planning or supply chain, plus strong English, analytics, and ERP/BI experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Mathematics/Statistics/Data Science related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in Demand Planning, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain roles.
• Proficient in English communication, presentation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proactive, solution-driven and results-oriented mindset.
• Critical Thinking: ability to make quick decisions in supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze short‑ and long‑term forecast demand by evaluating historical consumption, backlog, market trends, seasonality and lead-time variability.
• Identify and manage demand deviations such as forecast errors and aging demand signals.
• Own and drive the monthly demand forecast review cycle, ensuring Sales–Operations–Supply Chain alignment.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to resolve forecast gaps and supply constraints.
• Build and develop dashboards with IT, focusing on demand trends and key metrics for decision support.
