Job summary

DKSH Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Logistics Coordinator to supervise despatch operations, plan local transport strategies, and ensure deliveries are made on time and within budget.

You will manage day-to-day expenditures, coordinate resources such as manpower, trucks and drivers, and work with vendors to meet service commitments. Proficiency in TMS and SAP WM is expected, with strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Diploma/certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge in warehousing, distribution, transport, inventory and supply chain processes.
• Understanding of day-to-day transport operation.
• Knowledge of network design methodologies and relevant systems.
• Working knowledge of TMS and SAP WM module.
• Proven experience in transportation and vendor management.
• Proficiency with office productivity tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in local language and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise despatch day-to-day operations of local transport strategies and plan to ensure on-time delivery at minimum cost.
• Manage day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets for resources.
• Execute transport strategies, plans and processes to ensure timely delivery with minimal cost.
• Prepare transport schedules including mode and route for daily deliveries.
• Coordinate resources including manpower, trucks and drivers for efficient transport operations.
• Coordinate communication and resolve vendor performance/issues to meet service commitments.
• Design strategies to optimize truck capacity and minimize cost per unit.
• Investigate incidents and take corrective/preventive actions.
• Leverage Transport Management System (TMS) for scheduling, data management and reporting.
• Provide practical solutions to operational challenges to improve productivity.
• Handle customer inquiries related to delivery and billing statements.
