Job summary

Hemei Life Care Centre in Malaysia seeks a Registered Nurse with general ward experience to deliver nursing care for residents in a senior living and rehabilitation setting, monitor health, administer medications and document care plans while leading the Caregiver team.

This daytime role offers training and a clear pathway to Branch Nurse Manager, with flexible half-day and rest-day arrangements and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing and active registration with the Malaysian Nursing Board.
• APC eligible or company to assist with APC application.
• Preferably 1–2 years of general ward or multidisciplinary nursing experience.
• Fresh graduates with suitable clinical training may be considered.
• Multilingual candidates and driving licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor residents’ health conditions and vital signs.
• Recognise and respond to changes in residents’ conditions.
• Administer medications safely and maintain medication records.
• Perform wound assessment, wound dressing and other nursing procedures.
• Perform Ryle’s tube insertion and manage tube feeding.
• Urinary catheter insertion and care; manage drains and surgical tubes.
• Coordinate with doctors and other professionals; respond to emergencies.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes, medical records and incident reports.
• Lead, supervise and guide the Caregiver team; ensure coverage.
• Communicate care plans to residents, families and the care team.
