Job summary

Gentle Hill Elder Care Centre Sdn. Bhd. in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia is seeking a reliable Night Shift Caregiver to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of elderly residents during the night.

You will monitor residents, assist with nighttime routines, respond to call bells, and document care provided for handover to the day shift. The ideal candidate holds at least an SPM/high school certificate, with caregiving or nursing aide certification preferred, and has 2 years of caregiving experience

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM/high school certificate; caregiving or nursing aide certification preferred.
• Basic First Aid / CPR certification is an advantage
• 2 years of caregiving experience (fresh candidates welcome with willingness to train)
• Prior elder care, home care, or hospital experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents through the night with regular checks.
• Assist residents with nighttime routines and repositioning.
• Respond to call bells and alarms promptly.
• Administer night-time medications per nursing instruction.
• Maintain hygiene and comfort in bed; change incontinence products as needed.
• Document observations in nightly logs for handover to day shift.
• Follow established emergency protocols during incidents.
• Keep common areas and resident rooms safe and quiet at night.
• Provide reassurance to residents with nighttime anxiety or dementia.
• Conduct handover briefings with the incoming day shift.
