Job summary

Michael Page Malaysia is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to drive growth in datacentre solutions, including power and cooling technologies. You will identify opportunities, build long-term relationships, and manage a robust sales pipeline, delivering revenue targets.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience in BD or complex capital equipment sales, preferably within datacentres or related infrastructures. Frequent travel across Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in business development, solution selling, or complex capital equipment sales.
• Experience in datacentres, power generation, HVAC, cooling, electrical, mechanical, or industrial infra sectors is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and engage senior decision-makers.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Malaysia and occasionally overseas.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth by promoting integrated datacentre infrastructure solutions, including power generation and cooling technologies.
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across target markets and key accounts.
• Build long-term relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
• Manage a robust sales pipeline and deliver against revenue and profitability targets.
• Work closely with engineering, service, and application teams to provide tailored customer solutions.
• Maximise lifecycle and aftermarket revenue opportunities through value-added services and support offerings.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract management activities.
• Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and networking engagements.
